I just read that Karlheinz Stockhausen died last Wednesday.  That kinda bums me out. 



A few years ago I took three semesters of Music History at GRCC.  In the last semester I had officially become a serious music nerd, and me and my boy Sam were way into modern compositions.  One of the composers mentioned in that class was Stockhausen.  After learning a bit about him, I had this idea that it would be really cool if I sent him a letter in German telling how awesome his work is.  And it would be REALLY cool if I had moved to Germany and studied under him.

That dream is now gone.  Stockhausen is no more.  You will be missed you crazy, old man.
