I want a girl with a mind like a diamond.

I have really been getting into Cake's music lately.  As a matter of fact, I am currently listening to Motorcade of Generosity which has become the soundtrack of my workday for the last couple weeks, as well as one of my favorite all-time albums.  One of my favorite things about Cake though is that I I think that their lead singer, John McCrea, and I have similar taste in women.  Ofcourse there is the woman he is describing in "Short Skirt Long Jacket" who is "trading in her MG for a white Chrysler LeBaron".  Funny thing is that I can't stand LeBarons because they're like fake convertibles.  People who drive LeBarons want to drive a convertible but just can't afford a real one.  The fact that this woman is trading in a bona fide nice convertible for a LeBaron makes her really cool in my eyes.  She seems like the type that would tell people that she drives a LeBaron and then kinda crack up about it to herself.

It might just be the way he describes women.  He seems to appreciate the little things and I'd like to think I do the same when I like a woman.  Take for instance the song "Jolene".  First of all, her name is Jolene.  I would love to meet, and quickly fall madly in lurve, with a woman named Jolene.  But the thing about Jolene is that she seems to be a really average chick but the speaker is way into the little details:

Anyways yesterday was a more or less average Sunday:
- I went to Watermark for the second week in a row in the morning. Stay tuned for more info about my random church meanderings this summer.
- Dinner at my parents... well it was actually more of a breakfast than a dinner.  We had some awesome farmer's breakfast and waffles.
- Went to evening church at SLWC.  Dan Ward preached and  I believe it was the first time I've heard him preach.  Pretty sweet.
- A handful of friends came over after church and we sat by the fountain near my house for a while.

So that was my Sunday in a nutshell.
